I bought the exhaust when the bike was brand new. 5 years ago the headers were everywhere.

Samiam 666 Most are very tolerable with the DB killer in them. I ran the Akra wide open with no restriction and loved the sound. Could always use ear plugs which isn’t bad idea either way. Arrow also makes a nice exhaust for the FZ09.

@@north50 right now I live in zephyrhills. So normally I go to richlom wma and ride. Soon as it's legal I'll probably be taking rides to Ocala. Only about an hour and a half away

layziebone19 in loxahatchee there are a lot of back trails , you can also take it out to corbit but you will be really limited during wet season

depends on alot of factors. The seat is comfortable, but adventure riding, maybe not. But for 1/2-day + full-day could be okay. longer would take saddle bags and a top box. If you do not know, this is a 16 hp 233cc air cooled engine, so it has limitations. the bike can be modded, but maintaining 65 or 70mph is not likely, 75 is not possible. Other thoughts, you will have to do your own maintenance, many to most shops wont work on it. Parts are tricky for this, which is a turn off, but parts can be found at CSC. thats not saying a 350 mile trip couldnt be possible, but i dont hear too many do it on a 250

The on off might just be me. I don’t know the road that well nor did I want a ticket so I’d roll off the throttle earlier than needed quite often.

@@north50 Nah it sounded like the ecu triggering the fuel too quick or whatever, like exactly what I've heard people say it does without an ecu flash. That gives me a pretty good idea of what they're talking about because I can tell that you were barely rolling on the throttle and it would have a slightly exaggerated response. Kinda like when you're in first gear on any bike and try to be smooth in high rpms. It's a known flaw in '14-'16 fz 09s that can be cured

I'm not necessarily saying it's a bad thing. If it doesn't bother you then there's no problem at all. I don't think I'd like that at all so I've decided I'd flash it pretty quickly if I bought a '16 or older

I have 2018 Husqvarna 501 Fe I absolutely love the bike it's my third year with the bike now and I'm really starting to get used to it now I ride it like the devil's chasing me!

Paul Weigt Tires are Michelin Pilot Road 4 which I don’t love the look of but they are very confidence inspiring. The exhaust is a full titanium Akrapovic with the baffle removed.

Aaron Martin they both rip, fatigue from wrestling the weight of the 690 sets in sooner. That said if you are doing 50% of your riding on pavement I’d go 690 all day long. I love my 500 and would say it has given me more smiles than any two wheeled machine I’ve ever owned but I use it strictly for off road purposes. Then I own a street bike for pavement rides, the 690 can do both pretty well. Some prefer the lower seat height of the 690 also for off road.

Bro I'm 5'5 and ride a stock Dr650. You can make any bike work. Except a Xr650l. That bikes extremely huge.
